wLure Hard Plastic 3D Stencil for UPHC15. I'd like to start by saying I eventually got a good result by doing some adjustments to the wLure Hard Plastic 3D Stencil segments. Originally I assumed you could place both segments on a lure body and paint. That was not case or possible! Each segment has a tab that restricts both segments coming together flush around the lure body. So I decided to paint one side at a time. The other adjustment I had to make because of a poor result was heating the each segment with a hair dryer before trying to paint. The reason for this is the segments will scratch the underlying paint. The segments are so tight on the lure body you have to heat the segment and actually stretch the segment ( make it fit a bit loose around the lure body so as not to scratch the underlying paint ). After a few bad quality lure blanks I eventully had success. These 3D Stencils are a bit expensive I think but have figured work arounds to make the work. I will continue using them because I already payed for them. I have had great results using them but it took some expensive testing to get my successful results.

Really like having a variety pack of stencils! They snap easily into place and the lines are sharp. Def makes painting baits easier than while free handing.

Very nice little tools for quick patterns. I use these, primarily, for economy to mid range lures. they are much quicker & easier to use than more complicated patterns & very effective fish catchers! A couple of quick tips: (1) coat lure with createx 4030 balancing clear or 4050 UVLS gloss, to help protect from scratching paint job & (2) take a small needle file and/or a small dremel tool hone/stone & lightly smooth inside edges, to bevel towards outside of stencil. Doing these two things have greatly relieved scratched paint headaches!
